Russ Gilbert

Russ Gilbert, a Seaside, Florida glass artist, began working with glass in 1979, directed by noted glass artist, Nancy Connery. Working primarily with clear borosilicate, Russ essentially learned the art of shaping glass with the torch, through trial and error. Mike Marsh, an accomplished Texas glass worker and friend; Robert Mickelson, a Florida artist; and Milon Townsend, a noted glass artist of Corning, New York, all have been major sources of education and inspiration for Russ Gilbert. Russ and his wife Teresa are owners of Fusion Art Glass Gallery in Seaside, Florida.
