McDermott Glass Studio

Founded in 2002, McDermott Glass Studio began as a small backyard studio in Sandwich, Massachusetts, created by master glassblower David McDermott and his wife, designer Yukimi Matsumoto. Blending David’s traditional Scottish glassblowing techniques with Yukimi’s refined artistic vision, the studio has become known for creating extraordinary hand-blown glass art.

In 2006, artist Isabel Green joined the team, bringing a remarkable talent for sculpting intricate sea life and whimsical creatures. Later, Peter Waechter completed the studio’s collaborative foursome. Together, the artists work with passion, precision, and seamless timing to create captivating glass sculptures that are both technically masterful and truly mesmerizing.
