Kathy Thurnau

Originally from New Jersey, Kathy Thurnau developed an early love for the ocean through summers spent “down the shore.” After relocating to New Orleans over 30 years ago, she discovered a deep connection to the Emerald Coast, where she spent countless hours inspired by the shifting colors and movement of the sea.

Approximately four years ago, she began working with resin and quickly developed a passion for the medium, drawn to its ability to beautifully replicate the fluidity of water. Her work primarily focuses on ocean-inspired compositions, incorporating coastal color palettes, sunsets, and natural elements such as shells and decorative accents.

Through extensive experimentation and study, Thurnau has refined her technique and now exhibits her work here at Fusion Art Glass, where her coastal resin artworks continue to evolve and reach collectors who appreciate contemporary ocean-inspired design.
