Elizabeth Ngo’s beautiful button jewelry sources antique buttons from Europe’s Victorian Edwardian era. These works of art range from Victorian glass, carved pearls and shells, ornate rhinestones, along with hand painted glass and enamel, but all reflecting a time when art and history and handwork were highly revered. The buttons are set into sterling silver rings, bracelets, necklaces, and earrings with the backs left open, so the button hook is left visible. Each button used speaks about its time period, as in those years, buttons were worn as a symbol of one’s status.
