Handcrafted Glass Pendant handmade by Sherry Moser
Measures:1" in diameter approximately
Growing up with an artistic father, a neon sign maker by trade and
painter in his spare time, Georgia artist Sherry Moser spent much of her
childhood surrounded and fascinated by art and craft. She attributes
her attraction to dichroic glass to the memories of the soft, electric
glow of neon being manipulated by her father. Beginning in stained glass
in the early 1980s, Moser used the influences and lessons learned in
the light, color, and form of glass to create works of art. She shifted
to creating kaleidoscopes and, then, exclusively to jewelry in 2000.
Moser's wearable art is handcrafted from glass infused with metal
oxides, reminiscent of the soft glow of neon from her childhood, and
handwrought sterling silver elements. Moser considers her jewelry to be
representative of her shifting interests and creativity, each piece
carrying a connection to her past to then become a common thread for her
future work, change, and growth.
