Brad Smith

Brad Smith was born in Hartford, Connecticut. At age 13, while attending Bucks Rock music and performing arts camp in Connecticut, he was introduced to glassblowing. He attended Franklin Pierce College in Rindge, New Hampshire to pursue a Fine Arts degree. While there, he took several glassblowing classes, and worked for a year in the glass studio as a teaching assistant. During this time, he also took classes at the Corning Museum of Glass and Haystack Mountain School of Crafts. After two years of college in New Hampshire, he dropped out to take a job with professional glassblower Peter Greenwood back in Connecticut. After working for Mr. Greenwood as a studio and gallery assistant for two years, Smith left the job to continue school at the Appalachian Center for Crafts in Smithville, TN. He now resides and creates glass works in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
