Description:
Stuart Ableman, a graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University and UCLA, is one of a handful of artists that began blowing glass in the late sixties and early seventies. He is a master in the ancient art of glass blowing. At his studio in California, each piece of art glass is individually hand worked and infused with the elegance of his creative style. The colors are achieved by added precious metals such as gold and silver to the glass. By layering the different colors of molten glass and using metal tools to hand work them, the patterns are created. To ensure its authenticity, each piece of Abelman Art Glass is hand signed and registered at the studio. Abelman Art Glass pieces can be found in museums, galleries, and private collections throughout the world.
